For anyone wanting to learn Portuguese, Lithuanian or English, Sofia is an excellent teacher. She provides a solid foundation of the languages and helps you to understand the fundamentals to be able to excel in the language, rather than just learning to repeat phrases. Once you have the fundamentals to build upon, it becomes easier and quicker to pick up the language. Also, rather than trying to teach general phrases, Sofia ties her teaching to your profession, studies, or other reason you want to learn the language and customizes her teaching, so that it is much more relevant for your goals.
Sofia is a very good teacher of languages and I strongly recommend using her if you need to enhance your English, Lithuanian or Portuguese.

I’ve been studying the Portuguese language with Sofia for about eight months, and she has done an incredible job at first helping prepare me to travel and work remotely in Brazil for three months, and then more recently to permanently relocate to Brazil.
She teaches me real-life Portuguese that I’ll need in order to interact with people at the airport, hotels, restaurants, businesses, and life in Brazil in general, and also structures the lessons specifically around my individual needs and preferences as a student.
I also really love that she teaches me the grammatically correct form of the language, yet also reminds me that not all Brazilians might speak that way and that conversational forms might be different around the country. Sofia also incorporates culture into our lessons, and teaches me about important Brazilian holidays, music, and food.
Sofia is also highly organized and professional, and an interesting and engaging teacher. I cannot recommend her as a teacher highly enough, no matter your needs for studying the language!
